Manifest your potential

Even once you have a new, inspired sense of self & purpose, in order for it to manifest you need to believe you can attain it.

To foster this, I reminded myself of some recent accomplishments. I thought of what I was most proud of in both my work and personal life.

When I did this, however, two things struck me.

First, I noticed these achievements were hardly met with joy, excitement, and an unending stream of intrinsic motivation. Instead, I used sheer grit, willpower, & determination to get through them.

Second, I still wasn’t convinced I was capable of great achievement that mattered to me. My accomplishments weren’t fully aligning with what I truly valued.

So, I dug even further.

I thought of a period in my more distant past, when I was practically oozing with integrity. A few years in college when I felt aligned, motivated, and nearly always followed through on my word & what I set my mind to.

I sat with this period of my life for a little while, and realized something new about it.

It became clear that regardless of when & what the circumstances were, this was still ME.

More importantly, what this memory gave me is hope. Hope that despite how far I felt from this version of myself, with enough effort it was at least possible to get there again.

Try this…

Think of at least one period in your life, no matter how long or short, or how long ago, when you were truly thriving, & you had unstoppable energy & momentum.

Hold onto that version of yourself, feel & sit with it for a while, but most importantly: know it’s possible to create that again, because after all, that person is still you.

One way to get back in touch with that ideal, thriving version of yourself is to explore it with a coach. Learn more about how and potential coverage options by setting up a complimentary session today.
